Who We Are

We are The World War II Freedom Fighters Organization of the Permian Basin. Our goal is for all World War II Veterans of the Permian Basin to get a chance to visit the WWII Monument in Washington D.C. that was built to honor all of the heroes of World War II.

WE DID IT!!!!

Mission accomplished (so to speak)! Thanks to everyone's help we have the trip planned.

D.C. Trip

The Trip was Saturday, October 18, 2008. All the Veterans who  signed up to go traveled free of charge. Many other friends and family made the trip as well. Everyone had a great time. We want to send a special thanks to The American Legion Post 430 ; P.O. Box 1109, Odessa, TX 79760 & John Curry for working so closely with us and for all the effor they put in. We also want to thank the Patriot Guard for the AWESOME welcome home they gave our Vets. It was much appreciated by all.

This trip was a great success that required tons of time and hard work by our volunteers. Thanks to everyone who gave their time, energy, skill and effort to make this possible. Stay tuned to the website as we post pictures from the trip and other updates. Thanks again.

All of us would like to take a moment to remember a friend who helped us from the beginning but sadly couldn't make it all the way to the end. Mrs. Pauline Jeffery was a friend to us all and had planned on making the trip but unfortunately passed away just a couple weeks shy of the trip. We all miss you and thank you for you help. Rest in Peace Mrs. Jeffery.
