Check this page for information regarding fund raising events and activities we will be planning in the coming days, weeks and months. We have already had a few successful fund raising dinners and raffles.
Thank you again to everyone who has come out to support our cause. Your help is greatly appreciated. Also, a big thank you to the Men, Women and local Youth who help organize and staff our various activities.
Congratulations to the winner of our Weekend in Vegas Raffle; Dinorah from the Ector County Insurance Dept.! We hope you and your guest have a great time!.
Congratulations also to Michel Jackson. He was the lucky winner of our raffle for the Mossburg 535 shotgun.
Congratulations to the winner of the Cancan Trip for 2, donated by Any Seasons Travel in Odessa.
And congratulations to Penny Williams who won the Nintendo Wii and WiiFit. We hope you enjoy it.

Upcoming Events
Benefit Dance - VFW Hall - Hobbs, NM
There is a benefit dance scheduled for July 26th at the VFW Hall in Hobbs, NM for the WWII veterans. The dance will be open to people age 21 and up and a music will be provided by Kelly Down.
In Honor of Memorial Day - "Adopt A Veteran"
The cost of sending a veteran to D.C. is $682 per person. During the month of May we are asking that you or your group consider Adopting a Veteran and paying for their trip to Washington.
You can donate to the general fund to support a Veteran or you can specify a Veteran whom you want to adopt. We don't want the Veterans to have to pay for the trip because they have already paid the highest price possible, their service to our nation!

7/26/2008 - Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord hosted a Texas Hold 'Em tournament for the WWII Vets. We had a good turnout and gave away some great prizes. Congrats to all of our winners for the evening. We raised over $1600 to benefit the Vets trip. Check out the Event Photos here. Thanks to everyone who came out to play, help and have fun; and Thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings in Odessa for supplying us the chips for the tournament.
7/4/2008 - The WWII Freedom Fighters hosted a booth at the 12th Annual Firecracker Fandango in Downtown Odessa. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit and spin the prize wheel. We sold iced tea and ice cold lemonade and lots of T-shirts. We raised close to $700. Again, thanks for helping us get the word out.
6/28/2008 - The Wild Horse Saloon located at 205 W 42nd St in Odessa, hosted a benefit to help us raise funds to send the Vets to D.C. We sold BBQ plates and had a number of door prizes, auctions and raffles.
We were able to raise over $2300! Thanks to everyone who came out to help and to the companies who donated items. Check out the event pics page to see the photos from the event.
5/31/2008 - The Patriot Guard Riders held a fund raiser at the Lost Coyote Saloon in Odessa. At the event a drawing was held to announce the winner of a 12 gauge Mossburg 535 shotgun. With the event and raffle they raised a total of $3050! That is awesome news! Thank you again to the Patriot Guard Riders.
4/21/2008 - Thank you to the Odessa Roughnecks who hosted and honored our Local War Veterans during the halftime show as they took on the Frisco Thunder. All the Veterans were seated together in one section and then were brought onto the field during halftime. One of our Vets, Marion Lee, also participated in the coin toss before the game. We raised around $900 dollars! We have pictures up at the link below.
3/29/2008 - At our other recent fund raisers that were held on March 29th at both the Patriot Guard and the Globe Theatre, we raised $5000 at the Patriot Guard and another $1000 at the Globe Theatre event! That is great news and a great turn out. Thank you again to everyone who showed up to donate and help our cause.
